AWESOME! What brand of paint was used ... looks like a clear coat/color coat system.

Again -- thanks is advance ... TAZ

I painted the car with Akzo Nobel Sikkens. Its a water base two stage system that we have to use here in California. The Sikkens water base is tricky to spray, but and final results are right up with the high end solvent paint. Then I top coat with there two pack clear.

Thanks for the reply -- I have never shot a water based paint ... but life is a learning process. What about the stripe package -- and suggestions as to a vendor?

If it is any help we have 2 in stock here at Classic Ind. P# 14464 they are a Phoenix Graphix kit. Not sure how many other people are making that kit. The car look stellar by the way. I have always loved the Deuce's, but have never had the chance to see a real one in person. Keep up the awesome work

When my kids were that age I had them apply the assembly line paint markings on the suspension. They had a wonderful time doing it and I must say the result was so random and splotchy/drippy that it looked EXACTLY like the original factory markings. Wonderful memories!

Yes! my hands are still shaking from..Holding a spray gun for 8 hours straight, 100 hours with a Dumore grinder, Machining and Building motors, Managing all the body work and the shop. And then with all my extra time helping to assemble these cars. And that's when things are going smooth:) Oh did I mention that I love every minute of it.
