Wow, it finally stopped raining this afternoon! This evening, I was able to finish mowing the lawn before sundown. Now it's ready for the next two days of rain and showers. The Lowes Cruise is questionable at this point. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif

I got a call at 8:30 this morning from my cousin on the river where I keep my boat. We got 2-3" of rain overnight and the river came up 3 feet in less than 6 hours and the floating dock got wedged along the riverbank and the runways jack-knifed and twisted sideways. So I went up to straighten it out and there was a ton of debris stuck under the dock and forcing it against the riverbank. I ended up wading into the water with my workpants rolled up (took off my shoes and socks) and managed to straighten out the runways after lifting it up and walking barefoot through some poison ivy. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif I hope we can dry out for a little while!

As you can probably guess, the poison ivy got my feet pretty good and is in full bloom right now! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif I'm lucky, I get poison ivy, but it doesn't really bother me or make me scratch it.

Yup, but I don't care and went out and played 18 holes of golf after work today anyway. I played the best round of my life by far shooting a 75! I was actually 1 under par after 12 holes but I caught up to some slow people and it killed my momentum. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif to my best round and the rain didn't bother me at all.

I normally shoot in the mid 80's so to suddenly have everything come together for a 75 was very surprising. But a good example of everything coming together was a hole I kept telling myself "don't go left, there's a big tree that hangs out on that side" and sure enough my drive went left right at the heart of the tree. It somehow went through without hitting any branches, hit the cart path for an extra 20 yars but ended up partially under a pine tree with low branches. No chance to do anything other than punch out a 3 iron and the shot went 90 yards and rolled onto the green to 15 feet away!

Holy crap, was that a downpour this morning or what! Luckily, I just grabbed a used 99 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 to be my daily driver so the heavy rain and puddles were no problem.

Yeah, was kinda crazy!

Good Luck with the Tacoma. I had one several years back, it had the 3.4 with the TRD Supercharger. I thnk dealer was getting like $1700 (parts only) for one just a few years ago. I would strongly consider it for your daily. I put 100K on mine, and a friend owns it now and it still is running strong at about 150K!

I just checked the last 2 months and in May it rained 15 out of 31 days and June has been 13 out of 18 days so far. I still managed to get out after work today and play 18 holes of golf on the soggy course. No roll to the tee shots but if you can hit a green it will stay on. I managed an 85 today but missed a lot of greens and a lot of close putts.
