Thanks for that info. I guess Chevy dropped the ball on preserving similar data. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif

should this car have the six sided vin rivets?
they're round in the photo.

VIN rivets are right on the car...
It also has a Duece shifter in it... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

Did you see the owner address on the POP? "USAARENBO" and Fort Knox, Kentucky address. Was this car ordered by a U.S. Army tank crewman while in Viet Nam? It would jibe with the overseas export prep on the PHS. ???

While on the subject, don't forget similar microfish derived documents are available for Canadian built GM cars or US Built vehicles shipped into Canada. .

Contact Canadian GM Vintage Services and they'll run a Vin for less than $50...not sure if they ding you the dough if the Vin is a no-go? .

George Zapora there is a great guy....he haunts this site occasionally as vintagegz.

[/ QUOTE ]Already had my PHS for my GTO, but I tried getting more info (originally delivered to Quebec). Unfortunately they didn't have anything, but they didn't charge me and were actually disappointed that they couldn't be of service!

A while back, when I sent for 1967 Impala info from George Z. he answered me:"We can do US cars from 1977 and newer". The way I understand it, you can get documentation from Canada on for example a 1977 Camaro that was built and sold in the US.

Wow!
That's good to know, the 77 > TA's and Z28's are starting to come up in price.

He got me the info on my 1987 IROC Z28 that was delivered in PA, one of the last to be built out of the Norwood plant. The microfiche wasn't too clear so they credited me back the charges on my mastercard and sent me the whole package free of charge. Very nice.
