Bobby, I didn't think you were too harsh at all.
You said it exactly how I was "thinking it". https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif

I liked the old days BEFORE lawyers could advertise.
One thing to be there to "help" people, another is to pester the crap out of them,
even before anything has even happened.

And 99.9% make the other .1% look bad........

Ordinarily I can see the point being made about the inappropriate ambulance chasing lawyer ad,but I think this does not apply here.(No reflection on this 66 Chevelle)
I look at Chevelles for prospective owners now & then, and I can tell you that 1 out of 5 turns out to be as advertised today.
I just got back from looking at a Super Sport that was presented as show quality, honest and authentic, only to put it up on a lift and see it had a welded backhalf with a repoped cowl tag and questionable paperwork and owner history.
In a world peppered with overhyped this, cloned that and bogus representation,I see a purpose and need for someone like Bryan and his services in the car community today.
To steal a punch line from a popular joke:
"What do you call a lawyer prosecuting one negligent seller?...A good start". https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

Is the concern the tag or if the car is a real SS? On a 1966 Chevelle the VIN will tell you if it's a true SS car. It won't tell you engine size but will tell you if it's a Super Sport.

Aren't all the engine sizes 396? I imagine they want to know if it is an original Black on white car.

There were different horsepower rating for the 1966 396. L78, L34, etc. That's what I meant.

My friend decided not to even look at this car. Too many items are wrong, as people pointed out and the uncertainty of the trim tag. Thanks anyway..
