Re: Len Immke Classic
Anyone see the berger COPO Camaro on display on Saturday? Car was originally Lemans Blue now Fathom Green. Car's claim to fame was the detailed photos of the BE rear and the original PN# on the gear set. Looked to be the real deal. PT' club had a huge showing as did the Mustang's, and huge Porsche turnout.
I took an import tuner out of the garage and much to my suprise - won an award of Excellance. I am kind of shocked. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif. Show organizers are attempting to turn this show into more of a "Pebble Beach" type show and by the looks they are doing it. Total car count was over 1300. Camaro's, Chevelles, Nova's, and Corvettes (I estimate) totaled only about 150. |
Re: Len Immke Classic
That was my COPO, Phil, and it's Black. It will be at the SCR with the airbrushed hood that came with the car. (BTW, this will be the first time ever that my car has been trailered to a show.)
See the January 2006 feature car for the story. Tom Clary told me in 2000 when the Central Ohio Camaro Club hosted the Camaro Nationals that my car was the coolest car there. Best complement I've ever gotten on my car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif Your '70 was at that show jacked up with one front wheel off to showcase the disc brake detailing. Best bar none. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif I will be posting some pics of the show later when I finish my honey-do list. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif |
Re: Len Immke Classic
OOPS, sorry Sun was really bright and I had my Sunglasses on and the car looked like dark Fathom Green. Black it is!! Nice COPO!
BTW I did a two wheel Brake display that year at the 2000 nationals and did the same earlier in '98 at SCR-2 https://www.yenko.net/reunion/pbz28.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/drool.gif Phil https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |

Here are some of the cars that were at the show, I have tried to limit the long list of Marques to the ones close to where I was parked.
The PT Cruisers. They were everywhere. 100's of them.
