What was the general consensus on the extended stripes on tailpan? I seem to recall another board member listing a 69 Z unrestored with extended stripes. Was this a dealer added item? Please educate the rest. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

Theres a 69 Camaro shell on Ebay right now with no VIN plate that you can see the same extended stripes as well

That guy special ordered that vert in bruin(carolina)blue for his daughter who was going to UCLA.

Can't be too many 69 Z's in that color..love it!

Good memory. I personally took over 50 pictures of this car. I could NOT find any evidence that the extended stripes were added later. I am hoping that the person who bought it is restoring it the way it was found.

I know I have posted this picture before but my father took this photo in 1969. Except for the shackles the car seems to be bone stock. I would be surprised if the orig owner had the stripes extended before he even swapped the original ralleys and tires as was so common to do at that time.

One thing that stands out to me on those stripes is that all 3 are in the same place. All most exactly. 3 different people in 3 different parts of the country ain't gonna get em that close without a template. uhhhh...Or if you just extended the existing stripes they would all come out the same.
