Re: Seeking info on Export 69 R/S Z/28
On the opposite page it shows a Sept.1969 date.
I don't think thats a printing date on the bottom, but more likely a publishers deadline code. Remember, the new 1970 Camaro & Corvettes weren't officially announced until February 13th,1970,so they ran the 1969 Camaro & Corvette bodystyles longer then usual,up until the new release date of February 26th,1970. Personally I'm curious why the show a drawing of a 69 Camaro, and not an actual photo like the other models.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif |

See where the front side marker light is in that drawing. Looks like it is up high, wrong place. Roger

I haven't seen very many Chevrolet Exported vehicles, but of the few I have seen, they all had the RPO code ZP-8 listed on their buildsheets. Officially,ZP-8 was The Manufacturers Statement of Origin code when selling a NEW vehicle from the United States to a Foreign Country,or when transferring said vehicle to an Individual IN a Foreign Country. It was the Manufacturers designation of making it void of any duty taxes. https://www.yenko.net/attachments/117968-peeing.gifWhiz-Kid [/ QUOTE ] 1st guy: I need to get my VCR fixed. 2nd guy: Take it to my cousin, Wiz, he can fix it. 1st guy: Do they call him Wiz because he is a wizard with electonics? 2nd guy: No, he has a bladder problem. |
