[ QUOTE ]
Tony, what is your engine combo? I am having a 427 built now for my Beaumont. I should be back on the road by the end of next week according to the guy doing my work. James [/ QUOTE ] James...It's nothing fancy. I wanted a decent pulling pump gas engine. 512 2 bolt from a 69 Caprice. .030 over TRW's cut down to 9.75 comp. 063 ovals with 2.19 and 1.88 minor port work and gasket match.Comp springs. 7/16 eagle rods standard crank comp XM 288H 12 cam 570 and 575 lift Performer intake with a Pro-systems 950 double pumper edelbrock fuel pump comp roller tip rockers 2" hooker super comps I am guessing your combo will do right at 500 Hp and 500 TQ. |
Re: That 427 Baldwin B.S. Fiasco Post.....MOVE ON!!!
jfk: Not that I'm any expert, but I'd guess your combo to be in the 475-500hp (flywheel) range...anyone got a Desktop Dyno program to run the numbers through?
And what's with everyone using the heavy 7/16 rods? |
