i buffed the glass on my 69 with 3m imperial hand glaze several years ago to get rid of minor haze spots, still looks great 5 years later

Wow!... Thanks guys for all the tips. Just what I wanted. Any more??

I tried some lacquer thinner today on my vent window. It made the glass look cleaner, but I still have most of the spots. I'll work on it a bit more this week when the sun comes out again after the rain and it's safe to open the garage door. The straight vinegar worked the same as the 50-50. -didn't touch the spots. Using steel wool on glass and chrome has always scared me, so I'll stay away from it until I see it work. I still have to contact a glass shop.

Has anyone used something like CLR? You would have to make sure it only touches the glass.

I have also used Maguires # 6 cut/polish wax with the buffer on slow speed, it works well and shines up the old glass in one shot.

The NAPA auto parts in hawaii had a product designed just for removing water spots from glass it came with a scotch brite type pad. I may still have some. I'll get you the name of the product if you'd like.

I'll use it this weekend. I've been meaning to pic up the Mothers kit to rub the paint.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif When you get it chop about 1/4 of it off for the windows and save the rest for the paint in a zip-loc. keep the surface wet (the cinnamon smell of the mothers doesn't give you the laquer thinner buzz but is nice) and keep kneeding the clay bar like you would a chunk of silly putty. It will pull over spray and spots right off the glass or paint finish and leave it very clean and smooth... The only time I've seen it not remove water spots it took polishing the glass with scratch remover to get the spots out... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif
