What do they provide in ways of options for a specific car. Say if I had a Canada sold Camaro, will they provide a complete listing of what options the car was ordered with or a partial listing. otherwise how detailed is the GM/Canada paperwork for a car?

Jeff,
The option list has been very complete,in my experience with "regular" muscle cars as well as COPO Cars.

Mahalo could a L78 car be ordered without a Tach? and would that show on the paperwork from Canada

Re: How to send for GM of Canada records?

Tach/Center Fuel gauge was a stand alone RPO option and not required as part of the L78 or any other engine option.

So the info would simply not show the option code if it did not come equipped that way, from the factory.

Check the Message Board "Pictures" section of www.canamchevelles.com. You will see the GM Canada documentation for our Baltimore built Chevelles. The 1988 documentation of the COPO car wasn't as complete as it is today. They have the documentation for cars built and/or sold new in Canada. Nice piece of paper to have. This should answer Jeff's question as well.

Whatever options were ordered on the car is the way the paperwork will show for cars leaving (export) or entering (import) Canada. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif
