Re: leaf springs from Mchenry Classic
Schoneye;
Yes the Yenko Deuces should sit higher in the front, but I think mine is too high / too low in the back - and sometimes it looks lopsided to me. Maybe it's in my head, it rides fine, probably just me! |
Re: leaf springs from Mchenry Classic
Marlin, when you get a chance would you measure from the ground to the top of the wheelwell in the front and back and I will do the same and compare. Anyone else with a Deuce could do the same and we will have our own survey. Re: leaf springs from Mchenry Classic
Jim;
That's a good idea. I have the E70 14's on my car, but if you don't it would probably be a better idea to measure from the wheel hub. My car is up on jack stands at the moment so I can work on a few things, so that method would actually be my only option right now! I have the ride height chart from GM to see how close we are, I believe there are two different ride heights - one for non-F41 cars and one with F41, but I can't seem to find the paperwork where I read that |
Re: leaf springs from Mchenry Classic
Center of hub to lip of opening, rear 11", front 16". Approx 1/4" variation at corners but not much. Car has F70x14 which are a little tight. Still thinking about respringing. Jim

Re: leaf springs from Mchenry Classic
Jim;
I finally measured mine last night! The left rear is 10" from the axle C/L to the wheel lip, the right rear is 10.5". I guess I am a little low and to the left, nothing too major though. I think I'll leave it alone for now, I have other things to change on the car before Spring finally arrives. Thanks for the comparison, it's closer than I thought it would be |
