Re: Diamond Certification Question
Even if a car does acheive a Diamond level the first time out, the owner can bring the car back again for the items that may have been judged incorrect. Some of the cars never make it to Diamond. It taked a serious effort to gain that level. As a judge, all areas that are called are reviewed with the owner. At that time the owner can then dispute any deductions. If at that time the owner can show that his car was equipped that way, the points are rewarded back. All judging is placed in a computer and is saved for the next year. Areas that have been improved on the next year are then are rewarded back to the car. If an owner does nothing the car is dismissed. There is always a wait to get this judging done. It takes about three hours to do the initial judging. After the first year it takes much less time. This judging is not for everyone, but it can be a learning experience for the owners and judges. Owners often learn a great deal about the car and the judges will often learn as well. Judging is always evolving. It is a great service to go through, but you have to have a good attitude. Judges do try to make it a pleasant time. At tleast the judges I work with...BKH
