this is a block that I own IIRC was a January A9? cast date I cant imaging cast to build date would be that long apart

So I got to thinking about the cast date and build date being so far apart. The Gentleman I bought it from told me it was I-17-68 but I looked at it yesterday and I think it may be a L and not a I. Any thoughts on it ?

The A28 9 block date on "OLE BLUE".
Cowl tag and full pad also.

Yours looks more "L" than "I" to me.
