How are the points ? High quality ?
Gapped correctly ? Too narrow of a gap (high dwell reading) will cause a weak spark and affect low rpm performance.

Divorced condenser or the all in one set ? Back in the day the all in 1 were not reliable. No clue what is even a high quality set of points anymore. Since I am not in the league of judging my stuff, I have Pertronix conversions in all my cars.

427Yenko: Do you have a repro choke coil in the intake? I had problems with the repro choke coil being manufactured backwards. That is, the choke blade was full open (lean) when cold, slowly closing when the engine warmed up (rich). This caused a lazy throttle response when warmed up. Don.
