Here is a site that tracks them all: http://www.wreckedexotics.com/dodge/viper

5 Litre Mustang has more wrecks than Vipers built. No comparison..

That car didn't hook, he lost it looking in the right side mirror for the import

No reason to lose control like that so world may be safer w/ him uninsurable/off the road.
Strange he hit a Goodyear sign...car turned in by itself wanting to shed its factory Michelins?:hmmm:
:beers:

.

Yeah, the world is better off with him taking the bus. Just 'cause you can buy one doesn't mean you know how to drive it...

Technically correct. I suspect that the Chevy impala is also right up there on total crashes. The number of total wrecks will be statistically larger in a curve consistent with the total production of the vehicle.

Let me clarify, expand, and qualify my earlier statement.

Here in the US Law enforcement has a confidential database on crashes by cause. This includes street racing and stunt driving as cause sub categories. Here the viper is a national leader in the in this category for loss of control and street racing accidents.

Over the years several of my friends are or were elected county Sheriffs or Ohio State Patrol. I see no reason for for the fabrication of this information because these statistics are used for charging purposes with the prosecuting attorney as well as court testimony.

Probably running on the original 1996 era Michelins which are petrified hockey pucks by now.

And not knowing what to do when the massive torque curve comes into the midrange "sweet zone" that these cars have.

This is exactly how the vast majority of them were wrecked back in the day.

Sad.

High performance car ... low performance driver ...

I enjoy this guys videos. He comments on the crash (and he has a lot of vipers) and he's funny.

Hi... Not to dispute your info, just going by personal experience. I worked as a Firefighter for 33 years in Toronto. Over 20 years of that I worked on the 401 highway,12 lanes wide.
When it would start to rain, likely at rush hour, we would get an influx of MV accidents.
In the late 80's, early 90's when the 5L Mustang was "the performance Car" alot of the cars were owned by "non performance " drivers. I can count 10 Mustangs without trying and there would be more if my memory was better...LOL
Three of these were the worst fatal accidents I ever attended. I had a total write off Lambo, but no Vipers.
Now in defense of that, we did not get many Vipers delivered here in Ontario (Canada)

Not to mention the reckless driving and exhibition driving tickets let alone your insurance company saying sorry, you were racing so no coverage.

At least now the rest of us wont have our premiums raised to cover his stupidity.

Pro Stock John 04-15-2022 07:25 PM

And those Vipers don't have traction control.

Lynn 04-15-2022 07:55 PM

Just playing devil's advocate here.

"Here in the US Law enforcement has a confidential database on crashes by cause. This includes street racing and stunt driving as cause sub categories. Here the viper is a national leader in the in this category for loss of control and street racing accidents."

If it is confidential, how do you know the content?
