I think Josh Allen summed the OT rule and outcome perfectly:
"The rules are what they are. I can't complain about that because if it was the other way around, we'd be celebrating too," "It is what it is at this point. We just didn't make enough plays tonight." BTW I was rooting for Buffalo! |
It was a fantastic game, edge of your seat. Both teams kicked ass and played on a high level. I'm not a fan of the new OT rules. I think both teams should get at least 1 possession in OT. Also, if KC didn't miss a field goal and an extra point the game wouldn't have gone into overtime. Some have said the Bills should have played better defense and stopped them. If it was the other way around there would be ticked off KC fans. As Steve posted, Josh Allens response to the OT rules summed it up. I was rooting for the Bills too. They really should chance the OT rules so all teams have a chance to respond. Otherwise just flip the coin and call it with that.

I've been watching NFL football since the Raiders beat the Eagles in Super Bowl XV in 1981 and that was the best football game I've ever seen! I didn't think Josh Allen had it in him but boy was I wrong, the growth he's shown since his first season is phenomenal. I also believe both teams should get the ball in OT and keep going like college does until there is a clear winner, just keep the kickoff after each score instead of starting at the 25 yard line.

Yeah Buffalo kicking the ball into the endzone with 13 seconds left was really surprising. They even looked like they lined up to do a squib kick to eat up the clock too, then BOOM,it sails into the endzone.
I honestly think they would've won the game had they squib kicked it to KC there, and the clock woulda been favoring them then. |
