Thank you, Rich! I agree, the Keystones look "right" on this car.

Thank you, John! I didn't realize US30 closed THAT long ago. I appreciate you checking out the car.

Wow, what a time machine! Those rear tires are a real throwback.

As an aside, I won a Doug Nash 5 speed trans as a participant at the 1982 Car Craft Street Machine Nationals in Springfield IL :3gears:

No way, Bill! Back in '82, that 5 speed was a BIG deal. Heck, it's still a terrific gift 40 years later!

Regarding the tires...this is what I love about the car. It hasn't been touched in 40 years. The authenticity is spectacular. Thanks for checking out the listing, I appreciate it.

What a cool car and the fact that a feature car from that era was preserved and not "upgraded" over time makes it even more special.

Now add those drag strip photos with timeslips and it doesn't get much cooler.

Thanks for sharing with us!

What a neat time capsule with the coolest hood ever IMO. That small block looks so tiny without the inner fenders. GLWS Tim.

This car was from the Oak lawn area.

Thank you, Marc. It's like a time machine, hey?

Oops it closed in 1984, Oswego closed in 1979.

Love this car, I bet there are a lot other pics out there.
