I'll just fill you in on what's been going on. My wife left me on Oct 7th and I've been devastated. Can't sleep, eat or do much of anything. I haven't been able to pick up a wrench since she left. It was my fault that she left and I can't do anything to persuade her to give me another chance. I was always getting on to her for something and she couldn't take it anymore. We have been married for 34 years and been together for 39 years. She was always my best friend.

She has drained the bank account each week paying credit card bills, so I'm not able to do much. I'll be loosing the house too. She says she isn't going after my car or anything in my shop, so I can thank her for that.

Maybe a trip to Chicago would do me good.

Come on up Saturday. You have a ticket and a room, should you decide to stay late and not need to drive back that night.

Sorry to hear the partnership went south. It takes a big man to come out and say that Freddie, and I can only trust that things will work out in one way or another as they always do. Hopefully you can travel up to Chi-Town and enjoy some time with others who obviously care about your well being. (lots to be said in that)

No doubt, things will be different...but they will work themselves out. FWIW, some of my best friends are single later in life and they're all digging it now.

I think others may want to contribute to the “Freddie Fund” to get him to the show. Post on here that you want to help. Then, PM Freddie with your offers and settle up when he arrives.

I have offered Freddie a ride if he can make it to Ohio. I have offered to put him up for the night on Thursday and get an early start out on Friday morn. I have a room he can stay in Friday night so we can get an early start Sat. Unless someone else has a room for Friday , he will have to use a couch as I have another guy going already. But that’s the offer.
I’ve heard others want to kick in gas and food $$. So go ahead
