I noticed the hood insulation on your car. My 69 L71 has the same hood insulation, but my 69 L46 does not. But my L46 is a non ac car. I was wondering if small block ac cars got the hood insulation, and BB cars regardless got the insulation? Anyone know? |
Small block cars with AC got the insulation.

The car is running after 35 years. We got it running two weeks ago by properly prepping the engine and put gas down the carb. I then sent the original date coded fuel pump to Fred Ballard to preform his magic. Also had to buy a new gas tank fuel sending unit. Fire up the car again and it ran. The alternator still works, the temperature sending unit works, the radiator or heater code does not leak, the AC pump was not frozen and the wiper panel popped up and the wipers worked along with the headlights popping up and working. Attached are a bunch of pictures starting with all the original paperwork. The car came with the trim ring card even though it came with the PO2 hubcaps.
