I get why some people think he may be arrogant or something else but I have concluded that he probably doesn't really like being in the limelight and therefore appears standoffish at times. I am from CT and although I have never met him, many of my friends have and came away with a favorable impression. I have exchanged very nice emails with him several times. He was helpful and responsive.
