Thanks for all the replys - I am skeptical about the originality of this car too but don’t know enough to reach an informed view. Based on the responses I suspect it is not worth much more time investigating.

At the very least, ask the seller to send you pics of:
Trim Tag
Engine pad stamp
BE stamp on the rear axle.

if those look good, it would be worth checking out further.
