Has anybody seen a 69 or 70 L78 Nova come from the factory with an optional steering wheel?

I have seen a few 70's with the optional sport wheel....since it is rare to have a window sticker or other detailed paperwork, it is almost impossible to prove one way or the other on items like steering wheels. Many folks add them to restorations because they are cool...I'm ok with that.

As for the L89...well that horse has already been beaten on.

*It*has the one year only 4 speed crossmember, the big block radiator support (375 had special one just for it) and the factory original 6000 rpm redline tach. (that are not, and probably never will be re-produced, these are impossible to find used).

Here are some inaccuracy's. The tach just has to be repainted to the higher redline.

My 70 has the comfort grip wheel. Would it have been added if its not on the window sticker?
Or included with the custom interior?

steering wheel...

The comfort grip wheel was an option...and was not part of the upgraded interior. If it was not on the window sticker then it was added later...it could have been dealer installed or added by a prior owner along the way.

The option code was NK1...and Chevy called it "cushion rim'. I believe these style wheels first appeared in the Corvette.

I know of him. Been selling GM muscle for a long time . He used to go to the old Jackson outlets cruise nights with his cars. The M20 is suspect to me.

OK, I've got a few more questions. My '69 Camaro radiator support is drilled for both big and small block radiators. I assumed that the Nova was the same. Is it not? Also, I have one of the big block 4 speed cross members out of a Nova. Isn't this the same one that was used in the Camaro? and wasn't it used for more than one year?

BB Radiator support..

Nova BB support is unique...there were a couple of versions of it during the 68 model year, I believe 69 and 70 are the same The opening is larger than the small block cars, top rail has small holes for rubber flap and there are welded nuts on the pass. side. for bolting radiator to the support.

Any Nova rad. support can be modified for BB application...done correctly it is hard to tell the difference.

**regarding the M-20 tranny...we have owned a number of BB Novas...3 had M-21's, 2 had M-20's and the 68 has an M-22. They were spread out between all the years...

Nova SS

In 69, I was under the impression that Nova still put the VIN on the engine pad not on the side like was done on Camaro's. I am unsure,
