Re: F-41 rear sway bar 69 70 nova ss

Do you think that would bolt right in on a '71 Pontiac Ventura II?
I've got a friend who is restoring one and always looking for parts.

yes except for the upper mounts(not incl and hard to find) would need to be welded to body

The bolt on mounts are used on 70 up Camaros/Firebirds and bolt to the underside of the subframe.
On 68-74 style Nova's and 67-69 Camaros the uprights bolt to the brackets which I provide a picture of (earlier post). The brackets are welded to the underside of the floor inside of the frame rails. The Gen 1 Camaros and 68-74 Novas use a narrower bar than the later (70 up) Camaros and (75 up) Novas.

I have a factory style rear bar on my 68 Acadian... I can measure the length on the weekend. Way too cluttered up there to get a picture of the bracket without lifting the car.

Best place to find these style bars (and brackets) are the X body 73-74 GTO's.

Re: F-41 rear sway bar 69 70 nova ss

The upper mounts in the pictures were only used on the Camaro. Since they have the part number label on them this was probably added after the fact and done the cheapest way possible. To add the rear sway bar on a 70-79 Nova you need the weld on upper support and the weld on upper mount to install like the factory did.

if I remember right. the upper mounts on my 70Z were welded on. I think the bolt on started sometime after 70
