I had to replace the rubber brake hoses on two of my survivor 69 Chevelles last year. They all collapsed internally within the same year. 46ish years seems to be a limit on these.

I think you are correct about that number for these cars. Our 70 Hugger Orange car is pulling a little...could be the brakes need adjusting or more than likely the hoses are giving up...next in line for an inspection.

Better to be safe than...

My hoses lasted until 2004.
I initially had the calipers rebuilt, but that did not fix the problem.
The rebuild lasted 11 years and one was seized again last year.
I parked the car, as I did not have time to play with it and just fixed it last month.
The sad part is, other than the test drive, my car is still sitting in the garage waiting for me to have time to take it out.
