Jeff, first thing is that's how they came from the factory. When installed at the engine plant weather Tonawanda or Flint the timing cover and oil pan bolts were silver plated. The corner bolts on small blocks were plated in Black. So I've always brought them back to their original condition. Plus even though they get painted this is extra insurance for Corrosion Protection for a restored car

Very nice set of ((EL)) timing chain cover, oil pan side rail and inspection cover bolts. The four corner bolts are ((ELH)) with a captured lock washer. They do not reproduce this bolts every reproduction engine bolt kit comes with a star washer on these four corner bolts which is incorrect. All have been stripped tapped and replated very nice Early Head marking 63 through 69. 130 shipped to the lower 48.

Early Head marking big block timing chain cover bolts. ((EL)) they have been stripped Tapped and replated they are in excellent condition. $60 shipped to the lower 48 two sets available.

70-74 big block TCS vacuum advance line clip mounting stud o stamped on the top. $45 shipped to the lower 48. They don't reproduce this stud with the O stamp sold

67 68 69 L88 thermostat housing mounting bolts. These were unique and used a spacer underneath the housing ne3ding longer bolts. These have been restored are in excellent condition and are very hard to find. 125 shipped to the lower 48 two sets available
