I think you mis-read my post or didn't read it completely...I posted the ad for the <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #FF6666">1972</span></span> Z28 to illustrate my post about NO SPOILERS ON A '72, unless you ordered D80. And, no, the high back 3-piece spoiler was most certainly not standard in '71. You had to order D80 to get it. </div></div>


Hi Des, I did not see your initial post but clear now and agreed. When I say standard I was inferring to when you ordered spoilers you got the 3 pc unit but the 1 pc unit. Isn't the ad for the Red Camaro a 1971? A '72 would have a different grill unless this is a fault of Chevy's poor timing in advertising...

It's from the 1972 Camaro brochure. When it's an RS-optioned car, the grills are the same 1970-73.

Des, never once realized the RS grill was the same throughout. This whole time I was focused on non-RS front end. Learned something new (despite seeing it 100 times prior). Great stuff.

Hard to see but it looks like the Looks like the 2 piece unit with the push in snubber at the top of the bracket correct?
