Re: MCACN 2015 Rooms
I spoke with double tree and it was the first time I had ever heard of a hotel taking a "non-refundable" deposit. she told me it was the way the sales staff had set it up. I'll be there at all cost but I did not commit with them just incase. Anyone else find that odd?

They are all going to that now. Embassy was that way last year and now Double Tree.

It is common in the industry for high demand events. It has become common for people to book multiple rooms only to cancel some near the actual booking dates, leaving the rooms unsold long after being listed as sold out. Since these properties always sell out well in advance, all Hilton properties (the DT and the Embassy) implemented this policy last year. If this is a problem for anyone, I believe the Crowne and the aLoft do not require an advance deposit. Bashton MCACN Managing Member |

DoubleTree required the advance deposit last year also. As an FYI, this did not affect the amount of rooms booked for MCACN, as they both sold out (even earlier) and bookings were at full capacity. Bashton MCACN Managing Member |
Re: MCACN 2015 Rooms
The two years that I attended I stayed at the Embassy Suites and it was great. It's quiet and the breakfast is great also.

Re: MCACN 2015 Rooms
I just contacted the Crowne Plaza ....they do not have it set up in the system yet. So I was unable to book rooms using the Muscle Car Show promo
