Nice story, hope it works out.

Would be cool if you could post part of the VIN on the L89 motor. I also have an alleged L89 car I am trying to document, and I know the motor was separated from the car about 20 years ago.

I promised not to share it but you can PM me pictures of the VIN and TT on your car and I will let you know if they are the same. I will keep it confidential.

Nope.

The motor is owned by a car buddy and is a real L89 with a VIN from a 69 Chevelle, but I have no link between the two other than there were only 400, and Joe Hinton bought the car in spring or early summer and the dates line up.
