That's a Harmon Racetronic computer you have in there.
My Uncle had one in his Buick.
You have the super deluxe RACETRONIC III model to boot.
Check out this HARMON Catalog I posted earlier w/photos of Linda in an SSJ.
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...446&page=1

RACETRONIC is shown in lower right in 2nd photo below.

Sweet car! I remember an all original black 69 428 4-spd SJ a friend of a friend bought back in the mid 80's. It too was a beautiful car.

I'll post a breakdown of options pricing shortly, but yes, this car cost someone a fortune when new.

Also, here's an early monkey wrench to add to this car's oddball status: Jim Mattison from PHS called me yesterday intrigued by this car and what the PHS document DIDN'T show. This car does not have the 50-012 drop-ship code on it's paperwork (50-012 meant send to Hurst Performance), AND, it appears to have started life as an SJ model at the dealership, Parkway Motors in Prestonsburg, KY. That suggests that this car was at the dealership first, outside of the normal Hurst SSJ ordering channel, and it also suggest that either the dealer or the original owner chose these 2 packages on a stock SJ car. The Hurst color brochure said the car must be a Model J to work with the conversion.

It sounds like Hurst agreed to do this car despite it being a Model SJ. I just removed the RF SSJ & Hurst emblems with dental floss and found the two factory holes where the model SJ badge would have been. Hurst may have covered those holes with their emblems to get around them being left once the model SJ emblem was removed. That would make the placement of these emblems different from every other SSJ if they needed to cover those holes. A Model J car had no emblem or holes.

Mattison questioned the car's authenticity, but with the correct and difficult-to-reproduce sunroof with drain tubes, and the digital computer, there's little doubt this car was done by Hurst and WISCO in Roseville. It's just done right.

I'm almost in contact with the original owner, but he's currently out of town. The dealership is long gone, so that's a dead end. I'll post what I learn from him.
