Re: WTB; 1973 Pontiac Super Duty SD
That car makes my friends car look like a steal for 100k he wants. His car is restored to the level your 72 is Steve and nobody knows better than you how much work it was to take it to that level. Its amazing to me how much these cars have jumped the last few years.

Really 150K? I passed on a low mile 73 bruster green 4 speed in 2007 for 90K. I just could not afford it at the time. I thought since then the prices had not gone up. I thought 2007 was the high point? My dad is a great guy and had to sell his car for a more family friendly car in the mid 1970's and I always wanted to get him another one. He ordered a brewster green SD 4 speed but I think the dealer swaped it some how for the red sd he ended up with. It was too late to get another 73 sd when the red car was offered to him so he just took the red auto sd. Greatly appreciate any leads or help locating a car for him. </div></div> I think Don is right in regards to the prices of the four speed cars. I do know of a few that can be bought but for a nice restored car you will have to spend over 150. I did know one that was for sale but it needs a restoration and I think the guy wanted 120 for it. |

What's a good price to ge in for the formula? It seems like a neat car. |
Re: WTB; 1973 Pontiac Super Duty SD
Though the SD Formulas are rarer than the SD Trans Ams, they dont bring as much money. I would think it will probably bid to around $65k and wont make the reserve which I imagine is way above current market, given that a big collector has it and paid a bunch for it a year or two ago. It's a neat car, though the entire underside was painted black and should be red oxide primer.
There is a silver 73 SD auto Formula that has been on ebay for more than a year now. It was bought for $56k which was a good price for a car with a warranty replacement engine. The dealer that has it now has been advertising it for every week for a year with no interest whatsoever. He started at $110k and is now at $87k with zero interest in it. He also neglects to mention the replacement block and a bunch of added and removed options. Should have vinyl top, no power windows, no spoiler, and there is no such thing as "leather seats" in a 73, etc. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pontiac-T...#ht_2508wt_1021 |
