I had that El Camino at my house before it was restored and to say it was a project would be an understatement. I am certain that this was done by the best and you deserve every award that comes your way. How about a Nova or another 1969 Camaro? </div></div>
There was a nice Burnished brown nova in Muscle car review this month. |
Re: Sept Hemmings Muscle Machines-Congrats Bill Ro
It is going to be my mission this week end to find that magazine. I can not wait to see the Nova in print.

Thanks again for the feedback on the HMM article folks. That's actually my plan Mark. I'm starting to get itchy for another project. I'm kind of waiting for a personal issue to be "cleared up" (so there's no speculation, I need surgery to remove bone spurs in my neck/spine, which is causing some fairly serious shoulder/arm weakness and pain/it shouldn't be a big deal) then I want to start looking for a nice clean/rust free 69 Nova body. No numbers, or original drivetrain, etc. I want to build a hot rod, that I can take out and beat on. I love having the numbers cars, but I've discovered over the yrs, I need both the trailer cars, and something I can take out on a Sunday afternoon and pound on. Thats the plan. I'm gonna start looking locally this winter, and see whats available. |

Yep, If I'm still breathing Thurs morning, we'll be trucking down Rt 80 Phil. I'm bringing the El Camino. It's clean, packed up in the trailer, and ready to go. I assume you're coming too? How about Grady/Rich? |
Re: Sept Hemmings Muscle Machines-Congrats Bill Ro
Rich is coming, Grady is heading over to the Gibb event that weekend (I should ask him if I can take the COPO in his place... LOL).
I plan on bringing the '69 Malibu, black SS, and a full cooler. Phil W. PS. I'm sure you know, but if you exit I-80 at I-71 and head south, you'll be right there at the Holiday Inn. |
Re: Sept Hemmings Muscle Machines-Congrats Bill Ro
Great article and story Bill. The car looked awesome when I saw it but was really neat to see the in progress photos. Great job!
