Regardless of how this year turns out, it has already been a success. We finally have the answer to the question "what would this team be like if we only had a decent quarterback".

Favre is much better than "decent", but a decent quarterback was the missing link for this team.

Looks like the team is more than happy to have him IMO

Living in Idaho all we have is the Boise State football team but hey it's awesome! The Vikings have been on TV almost every week as far as our local coverages go. I have been following them with my wife. Back in '91 while on business in S. Dakota I scored on 2 tickets to see game 7 of the World Series. Homer hankies and all! Never forget the game or the crowd. Twins won in extra innings.

Sure hope Brett can get them back to the big show this year!

I had a cheap camera but took about 15 pictures and finally got one of the winning hit! I want to say that it was Chuckie Nobla (sp) on third that came in to score the winning run. Anyways I have a color 8x10 of the winning hit, framed with my ticket stub, and a brass plate I had made with the date, etc.

Best dam game I have ever been to. Still recall all the crazed fans high fiving me as we cleared the stadium and hit the local pubs. Fun times! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Green Bays head honcho's were stupid to get read of him.(you don't tell this guy he's going to set the bench to Arron Rodgers)
And they knew he would beat their A$$ why do you think they traded him outside there division to the Jets.

I was there for the ALCS and it was crazy. It was Gladden that scored the winning run in G7 of the WS.

Is my memory correct about Chuckie scoring the winning run?

Re: Bret Farve and the Minn Vikings

In the bottom of the tenth, Dan Gladden hustled out a broken bat bloop double to left-center off Peņa, and went to third on a sacrifice bunt from Knoblauch. The red-hot Puckett, who had been intentionally walked in the eighth to set up a double play, received another free pass. While a double play was now a possibility with a slow-footed Hrbek now batting, Cox elected to load the bases with another intentional walk and pitch to a light-hitting speedster in Jarvis Brown, who had entered the game in the eighth as a pinch runner for Harper. Kelly, down to an injured Gene Larkin and Junior Ortiz on his bench, called for a pinch hitter and sent up Larkin to bat. Larkin lofted Peņa's first-pitch fastball to left-center, over the Braves' drawn-in outfielders, to score a jubilant Gladden. TV broadcaster Jack Buck called out that the Twins had won the World Series the moment the ball was struck. The Twins became world champions for the second time in five seasons.
