The statement that it is only original once refers to this car! This car is one of the few bench mark 1st generation Camaro’s. All of the parts are original to the car, even the tires and exhaust!

The original owner obviously did his homework before buying this car! He checked off all of the right boxes; 396/375, M22, 4:10, F41 suspension, quick ratio steering and a cowl hood. If that is not enough, the car is Tuxedo Black! No console or radio, if did not make the car go faster or handle better it was not ordered!

The new caretaker Doug (Doug always refers to himself as the “new caretaker” because in Dougs eyes, it will always be the original owners car), is always open to sharing his knowledge and his cars to help with the hobby and its growth.

I am looking forward to seeing it displayed in Chicago for the first time in 53 years!

Doug was challenged to bring a car to MCACN in 2022, I would say he met and exceeded the challenge!

What’s the build date of the car?

I’d love to see this “show and tell” in person.

For guys like me and I’m sure many others that are not able to attend MCACN to enjoy the Best of the Best in a Survivor car, will we all eventually get to see this car in nice quality photos here on the Yenko site?

Thanks, Chris.

Does it have red hockey stripes ? Will be interesting to see the black paint on the tail panel. Can't wait.

The car is 02D build date and 604xxx vin. number. After we clean the prom Queen up...we will provide some photos. I promised the owner to give the car the respect that it deserves. The hockey stripe is red.

Very cool. Wasn't planning to go to MCACN this year but between this car and Dave B.'s Yenko, might have to make the trip.

It is a treat to be able to share it with others and get better acquainted with Norwood’s assembly processes. I am surrounded by good people as we all are. Thank you to Paul Laurenzi (Hugger SS) for introducing me to the owner almost a year ago. Special thanks to Amy, Frank, Matt, Matt, Austin and Ely. Affectionately we will call the car “Black Betty” . Safe Travels .

Wow, that sounds like a really cool original car. And since nobody else posted it yet...
