That shouldn't be a problem with future men....just following the trend.

The earth will be a wasteland.

But seriously, I read an article about a Canadian city simply rule booked vintage cars off the road, rendering them unable to be re-registered for street use, even as updated resto-mods, citing "safety". Much the same way they are going after gas stoves here in the U.S. These "leaders" have to go.

Gasoline powered cars aren't going anywhere. The market will slowly move toward EVs but by the time gasoline is no longer a viable energy source we will all be long, long gone.

Try to see it as a "follow the money" issue rather than a political issue. There is still a lot of money to be made by oil companies slowly raising the price (see: 1973, 1978, 2008, the recent inflation binge for shareholders to cash in, etc.). Also, fossil fuels are in almost everything produced on earth, or somewhere in the production chain. Until fossil fuels are too expensive to consider I would say that gasoline powered vehicles will be around a long time. Again, as long as there's money to be made.

And what Canadian city is that?

New gas stations are popping up all around me and the places I travel including the enormous "Buc-ees" fuel stations. I'm not too concerned with a major change anytime soon. Also, I use Ford transits for the work I do, the Ford dealership has electric transits and they supposedly are good for 100 miles. Commercial EV's are going to have to do a lot better than 100 miles before they replace a gas burner. I put over 120,000 miles on last yr. No EV is ready for that.

I live in Canada and have never heard of that! Googled it too and nothing…

That is a scary thought.

I know a bunch of people who work for auto companies and EV companies and they don't see us even hitting 50% EV anytime soon.

I met the President of Siemens Energy USA and he shared to me a project they are working on: https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/p...etic-gasoline/

Please post the link. Towns don't register vehicles, province does. So this will be overturned IF people actually protest or fight back for the simple rule as discrimination. If it's legal by the province its legal.
