Tremec's new TKX five-speed will make adding a manual transmission to your hot rod easier than ever

The new Tremec TKX was designed from the ground up for the aftermarket. It's not an OEM trans modified for the aftermarket; it's designed specifically for swaps. This means, in most applications, there's little to no floor pan modifications needed. And, unlike the TKO line, this transmission will easily shift up to 7,500 rpm! It's also robust with a 600-lb-ft torque rating. Unlike the double-overdrive Magnum, the TKX is single-overdrive, but in reality most hot rodders only opted for the double-overdrive Magnum so they could get the rest of its smooth shifting package.
