Diesel Brothers hit with big fine for tampering with truck emissions

Henry “Heavy D” Sparks and “Diesel Dave” Kiley, better known as the Diesel Brothers on the Discovery Channel, have been ordered to pay $848,000 in fines for illegally modifying the emissions control systems of diesel pickups. The Standard-Examiner newspaper in Utah reported that the fines stem from around 400 violations of removing or bypassing particulate filters or catalysts that reduce NOx and soot emissions.

From the same story:

"Contrary to popular myth, there are performance products that boost power but still maintain a vehicle’s emissions compliance. Cold air intakes, intake manifolds, cylinder heads, camshafts, headers, and exhausts can all be certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to be sold, installed, and used on public roads in all 50 states."

A Thai fisherman made an extremely rare discovery while walking on a beach in Koh Samui in October 2019. He had stumbled upon a lump of ambergris, better known as whale vomit. A highly sought-after ingredient in the perfume industry, the rarity of ambergris makes it extremely valuable. Previously earning around $13 a day, the fisherman is set to net a whopping $320,000 thanks to his chance find. In 2016 three friends fishing off the coast of Qurayat in Oman struck gold after finding a large lump of the stuff, which was valued at nearly $3 million.

If I kept a whale in my pool, and fed it my mother in law's cooking, I would make a fortune?

Shelby collectors, take note: this spectacular 1970 Shelby GT350 Fastback marks the end of an era as the final GT350 chassis number from the 1965-1970 Shelby production run. It is also the only GT350 Fastback produced with its order specification of striking Grabber Yellow paint, Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission, black bucket seats and AM/8-track stereo radio.

Not often seen pinstripes option on the 70 Mach 1. They were standard on the Grande'. Wheels incorrect. No Magnum 500 option for the Mach 1. Boss 302 only.
