Hi Joe. I have seen that photo before. Looks like 15” Thanks for the advice. I will reach out and look on some of those sites. The original spare tire was in the trunk and I have it listed on the Yenko paperwork.
|
I got good news yesterday. The motor is ready to be picked up ...so I will be getting it from the engine builder next week.
|
That's great to hear.Enjoy checking in on this thread weekly. :burnout:
|
I enjoy the ride with everyone. It’s good to see the build enjoyed by others. We hope that this car build can help others .

Original Station
1 Attachment(s)
This is the Gas Station that was owned by the Russo family. The father Patsy Russo and son Rich owned the station for several years. Patsy was a salesman at Yenko Chevrolet as well. Their station did small projects for Yenko Chevrolet according to Rich. Items such as tires, Rearend swaps, Headers, etc. They did not want to tie up there 2 bay garage for too long.

I found 3 ORIGINAL Yenko badges that will proudly be installed on the car. Much better than the reproductions that you always see. I learned a good lesson from repro vs original.

Doug, because it's different,is the center sYc emblem you show the back tail panel emblem?
|
All 3 of these emblems were painted at some point...so they all will be the same color when restored. This car was badged on all 3 sides like the 68’s were . This happened because the car was sold March 16, 1968 ...so it followed the 68 Ideas on badging. It is my understanding that the 67 Yenkos did not receive the Yenko badges

I am not surprised how many factory assembly markings that have been found on this 67. Being a Pennsylvania car its entire life that is a true testament on how John cared for this car. I have never seen such a pristine subframe/suspension components on a 1st generation camaro.
|
John gets all the credit...and his heated garage !!!

Throughout the years the station changed Brands/Names...according to Rich it’s probably been 4-5 different stations. I think it started as an Essex ?
