Some cars seem to have some surface rust which is always alot of work to get clean. I strip the paint and then get out muriatic acid. Nasty stuff to work with. Doesnt take too long for the rust...

That would have been correct in 1969 and maybe 68...Chevy added the TCS system in 1970 and the smog pump was only on the solid lifter cars. Pretty sure CA delivered cars still had the pump on just...
